28 Jun Teen Impact Project’s “Year in Review”
We have just completed our first year of impact, and we are excited to share our success. Over 100 young people joined us for activities ranging from cooking and baking for a soup kitchen, to reading and arts and crafts with young children, to a cultural exchange centered around the holidays. We even baked and sold our goodies to raise funds for an afterschool program in NYC. All told, we baked over 500 desserts, cooked and served over 150 meals, and engaged with 75+ children. TIP Teens worked hard while learning about neighborhood issues such as food insecurity, homelessness, the value of after-school activities and the financial insecurity of seniors-just. Each project required teens to use their organizational skills to plan and execute their projects effectively, and what a great job they did. Check out the photos on the Projects section of the TIP website to see what success looks like.
These represent only a few of the great experiences TIP Teens shared this year. We are already planning for a super 2017-18 season, and we want you to be a part of it. If you are part of an organized teen group who wants to have a meaningful and impactful volunteer experience, let us create and supervise your unique service project. Not part of an organized group? No worries, just grab 3 or 4 friends who want to volunteer and get in touch with us. And don’t forget we are always looking for great non-profits to work with too! We look forward to continue to make an impact one project at a time.
